Bill Lyons is the Founder, CEO & President of Griffin Funding. Griffin Funding is a nationwide boutique mortgage banker that focuses on delivering 5-star service to its clients. The company is a direct-to-consumer lender specializing in DSCR loans, Bank Statement Loans, Home Equity loans, and VA loans.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a licensed real estate broker, Mr. Lyons is an expert in real estate finance. Having employed 1,000s mortgage professionals, Lyons knows what it takes to run a successful company in today’s market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bill studied at Arizona State University and <\/span>Anthony Robbins’ Mastery University<\/span> and is a member of <\/span>Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), and <\/span>Forbes Real Estate Council<\/span><\/a>. Mr. Lyons is also a member of the San Diego chapter of Entrepreneur Organization (EO). In 2020<\/a> and 2022<\/a>, Mr. Lyons was recognized as one of the 50 executives in housing by HousingWire and received the Vanguard award.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bill Lyons, the owner of Griffin Funding, leverages his personal experience as a self-employed entrepreneur and real estate investor to understand the unique challenges faced by individuals in similar positions. This firsthand knowledge has enabled him to innovate and create specialized Non-QM mortgage products, such as Bank Statement Loans and DSCR Loans, specifically designed to address the needs of self-employed borrowers and real estate investors.<\/p>\n

Bill’s paternal grandfather, Rev. Earle Vaughan Lyons ‘Vaughan,’ joined the Navy in 1944 and served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. His maternal grandfather, Andrew J. Townson, served in WWII under his own father, Major General Kenneth Castle Townson. Bill’s stepfather is a retired first responder sergeant for the San Diego Police Department’s SWAT and Sniper teams. Needless to say, Griffin Funding honors our veterans and first responders with special care.<\/p>\n

Bill is also a passionate contributor to charities such as <\/span>Shelter to Soldier<\/span><\/a>. Bill’s interests include <\/span>travel<\/span>, golf, yoga, skiing, wake surfing<\/span>, swimming, <\/span>hiking<\/span>, scuba diving, attending educational seminars, and reading. Bill studies Stoicism daily and subscribes to the four cardinal virtues of discipline, courage, wisdom, and justice.<\/span><\/p>\n
